Unisinos’ Professional Master’s in Nursing has the purpose of transforming the concepts of health care, management and education so as to prepare professionals to deal with the policies involved in health care and effective implementation of SUS.

The Professional Master’s in Nursing is the result of a partnership between Unisinos and Mãe de Deus Health Care System. It is designed to contribute to the development of transformative nursing practices both locally and regionally so as to improve the quality of professionals and services, reflecting in all health care processes.

  • Health Care and Nursing: It focuses on health care and nursing practices in different care modes, taking into account the existential, interactional and contextual characteristics of the individual, his/her family, community and institutions. It covers issues related to the production, use and evaluation of technological resources.

  • Health Education:This line of research covers studies concerning the training of health professionals and educational activities on health. It promotes health education, including professional training and knowledge production as a key strategy to transforming health care practices.

Registration: Registration can be done online, by mail, or in person.

Selection: Classification will be based on:
a) Analysis and evaluation of documentation;
b) Written test;
c) Interview.

Enrollment: The Graduate Program office will contact selected students to inform on enrollment.

Non-regular students


Unisinos Graduate Programs admit non-regular students in some courses of the professional master’s degree. Non-regular students are students from other Unisinos Graduate Programs, other higher education institutions, and undergraduate or graduate students not affiliated with any Graduate Program. This opportunity allows non-regular students to know some of the courses offered by Unisinos.

Each semester the number of available places for these courses is announced and the programs offer enrollment for students who show evidence of ability to pursue them. Therefore, they need to be approved by the Coordination Committee and register as provided in the program regulations.
