Evandro Matté | Artistic Director
His first contact with music he was 7 years old playing trumpet at his school martial band. By 15 joined Caxias do Sul Symphony Orchestra. Two years later attended Civil Engineering and music classes at Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra School (OSPA). By 19 took over a trumpeter position at Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra. After graduating in Music from Rio Grande do Sul Federal University (UFGRS), post-graduated at University of Georgia (U.S.A) and at Conservatoire de Bordeaux (France). Has performed in many festivals including those with conductor Kurt Masur.
In 2007 joined Unisinos Anchieta Orchestra where is the cultural coordinator responsible for Vida com Arte Project which actively contributes to raise the life quality of 250 children and young adolescents from public schools. He is also the Show Musical and Anchieta Art School coordinator. Has worked with important soloists: David Guerrier (France), Emmanuele Baldini (Italy), Fred Mills (U.S.A), Pierre Dutot (France) and Yang Liu (China). Has also worked with important Brazilian names as Fafá de Belém and Kleiton & Kledir. Has performed a diverse repertoire including baroque, sacred, classic, modern, popular, jazz and opera programs. Is the musical director and conductor at Unisinos Anchieta Orchestra CD which includes Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gomes and Edward Elgar masterpieces. Is the prestigious Sesc Internacional Music Festival artistic director since 2011. This event unites more than 50 Professors from 12 different countries, 300 Brazilians and South American students and holds 48 spectacles during 13 days. Has been a Cultural Management Professor at Unisinos. Is the Cultural Management Specialization course coordinator at Unisinos. Has knowledge at Culture Incentive Law and Public Management. Is post-graduated in Business Management.
