The Midwest Finance Association (MFA) cordially invites you to participate in our annual meeting in Chicago from March 13-16, 2013. Papers in all areas of finance will be considered. The submission deadline is September 1, 2012. Submitted papers will be reviewed anonymously and authors will be notified of the Program Committee’s decision no later than December 1, 2012. Please see the attached document for more information and visit the association website, to submit your papers.Highlights of the program include:

Robert McDonaldof Northwestern University will give the Keynote Address on Thursday evening. Professor McDonald is an internationally renowned scholar in both derivatives and corporate finance.

The MFA traditionally showcases an industry expert at its breakfast on Saturday morning. This year we are excited to have Martin Fridson of BNP Paribas Asset Management. Mr. Fridson is best known for his extensive work on high yield bonds. Industry professionals are invited to attend the breakfast address with a Saturday-only registration fee.

The Journal of Fixed Income will devote a special issue to papers on fixed income that are accepted for the conference. Jingzhi (Jay) Huang of Penn State will serve as the editor of this special issue.

The Journal of Multinational Financial Management will also publish an issue based on papers presented at the MFA conference. Art Durnev of the University of Iowa will serve as the editor of this issue.

Several doctoral student travel awards are available. Doctoral students may register at a reduced fee. We are especially keen for Ph.D. students to participate as session chairs and discussants.
